The art institute is a magnet for some of our very 'special' wackos. I don't usually care for atheists (usually come off as far too full of themselves, self-righteous) and usually find them very intolerant of others but overall it doesn't sound like this student did something to warrant expulsion - however in this 'sensitive' town, I'm not surprised.
