What kids want to know

Here are the top 15 searches by children, according to Thinkronize, which developed netTrekker d.i.:

1. Games
2. Dogs
3. Animals
4. Civil War
5. George Washington
6. Holocaust
7. Abraham Lincoln
8. Multiplication
9. Math Games
10. Weather
11. Frogs
12. Fractions
13. Planets
14. Sharks
15. Plants

I’m surprised to see so many math categories.

Update: Matthew Tabor conducts an unprotected search for “schools” and finds the list isn’t G rated.

I don’t know why you’re surprised to see so many math categories. Given how math is taught, kids are seeking information on how to do the problems for which they have not been given enough instruction to solve.
