‘Surfing USA’ gets a belated ‘A’

“Surfin’ USA,” a huge hit for the Beach Boys’ in 1963, earned Brian Wilson an “F” in his high school music class. When the 75-year-old icon visited his old school, Hawthorne High Principal Vanessa Landesfeind raised the grade to an “A.”
