To form a more perfect union, teach students to respect the Constitution

At Vertex Partnership Academies, a charter high school in the Bronx, students recite the Preamble to the Constitution every day, writes founder Ian Rowe in the New York Post.

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Just as their country is working to fulfill its ideals, Rowe writes, "they also have the tools of self-renewal and self-betterment within themselves."
